The overall winner was the X-37 “Hansen”, skippered by Jan Hansen, who recently came second in the Fyn Cup out of more than 300 participating yachts.
X-50 “Eye2Eye” first over the line
A fleet of 165 yachts started the race around the island of Fyn in a very light breeze of 3 to 5 m/sec. The fastest boat in the 138 Nm long-distance race was the all-new X-50 “Eye2Eye”, owned by Sten Mejdahl Hansen, previous owner of an X-412. The boat was in the lead all the way and finished the race in the time of 30:00:02.
The race was a success, with seven X-Yachts finishing amongst the first fifteen winners.
